Job Summary
The HR Generalist will support daily human resources activities, including updating employee records, providing employee assistance, and performing various clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain accurate employee records
- Provide exceptional employee assistance and support
- Perform data entry and maintain employee files
- Assist with medical information organization, ensuring HIPAA and employee privacy guidelines are adhered to
- Support new hire orientation and recruiting as needed
- Generate and distribute HR reports as required
- Address HR-related questions from employees
FMLA Focus
- Serve as the subject matter expert for leave programs under the direction of the manager
- Interpret and administer leave programs and policies in accordance with applicable federal and state employment laws
- Administer all aspects of leave programs
- Collaborate with HR to approve or deny leave cases based on relevant medical information
Requirements
- Relevant HR instructional courses preferred
- Experience managing FMLA leave cases
- General knowledge of HR-related regulations and labor laws (HIPPA, EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.)
- Expert proficiency with technology and computers
- Professional demeanor
