Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. This role requires a strong background in law enforcement or military service, as well as the ability to manage conflicts effectively. The Armed Security Officer will utilize surveillance equipment and maintain a vigilant presence to deter criminal activity and respond to emergencies.
Duties
- Patrol assigned areas to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems to maintain security surveillance.
- Conduct thorough inspections of premises, including access points, to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potential threats or disturbances.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the well-being of individuals on site.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when required for incident reporting or investigations.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes.
- Assist in loss prevention strategies by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing security measures.
Experience
- Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with conflict management techniques is essential for this role.
- Experience with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention practices is a plus.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public.
