Diesel Technician II
Locations: St. Paul, MN & Minneapolis, MN
Available Schedules:
- Monday - Friday: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am
- Wednesday - Friday: 5:30 am - 4:00 pm & Saturday: 4:30 am - 3:00 pm
- Wednesday - Saturday - 5:30 am - 4:30 pm
Job Duties:
- Perform scheduled maintenance and advanced repairs on tractors and trailers to meet Koch Companies and DOT standards
- Troubleshoot and repair braking systems, steering components, electrical systems, and collision mitigation technology
- Diagnose and repair suspensions, drivelines, A/C and heating systems, aftertreatment components, and exhaust leaks
- Use diagnostic equipment and computerized instrumentation to identify and resolve mechanical issues
- Conduct DOT-compliant inspections, ensuring all equipment meets state and federal regulations
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools, inspecting parts for damage or wear
- Order necessary parts and work closely with the parts department to complete repairs efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols and company standards
- Regularly interact with drivers, addressing their concerns and ensuring their equipment is road-ready
Diesel Technician III
St. Paul, MN & Minneapolis, MN
Available Schedules:
- Wednesday - Saturday: 5:30 am - 4:30 pm
- Monday - Friday, 3:30 pm - 12:00 am
- Wednesday - Friday, 5:30 am - 4:00 pm & Saturday, 4:30 am - 3:00 pm
Job Duties:

Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on company tractors and trailers, including:
- Transmission troubleshooting & repairs
- Injectors and overhead adjustments
- Internal engine overhauls and repairs
- Turbocharger and EGR system repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with DOT and safety regulations.
- Order and manage parts inventory needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Use specialized tools, diagnostic software, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Dismantle, inspect, and reassemble heavy equipment, using hoists and precision tools to measure wear and damage.
- Read and interpret operating manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform accurate repairs.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior technicians, helping to develop a skilled team.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety procedures and company standards.
- Make warranty recommendations based on diagnostic assessments and repairs.
Trailer Technician II
Locations: Roseville, MN
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11:00 am - 7:30 pm
Job Duties:
- Performing preventive maintenance on trailers, ensuring they meet all safety and operational standards.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including brakes, lights, suspensions, and tires.
- Conducting detailed inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Using diagnostic tools and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair trailer components.
- Collaborating with team members to complete repairs efficiently and meet company standards.
- Maintaining accurate service records to track work performed and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory requirements, keeping our fleet reliable and our drivers safe on the road.
Mechanic Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in Trailer Maintenance (Trailer Tech II)
- At least 1 year of experience in Diesel/Tractor maintenance (Diesel Tech II)
- At least 3 years of experience in Diesel/Tractor maintenance (Diesel Tech III)
- ASE Certification and two years of schooling or equivalent experience (Diesel Tech III and Trailer Tech III)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to successful completion with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and skills to operate and understand diagnostic equipment
- Knowledge of Cummins and Volvo engines (Diesel Tech)
- DOT certified, or able to perform DOT
