Location: Shepherdsville, KY – This is an on-site position based at a key customer’s facility.

Hiring Range: $62,500 - $68,000 (commensurate with experience)

What You’ll Do

As a Dedicated Driver Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our dedicated trucking operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. You’ll be responsible for:

• Overseeing up to 25 truck drivers, balancing workloads, assigning routes fairly, and ensuring drivers meet home-time needs.
• Securing freight, pre-planning loads, and optimizing driver and equipment assignments for maximum efficiency.
• Monitoring driver hours of service, adhering to DOT and company regulations, and tracking high-security loads.
• Serving as the primary contact for customers and drivers, providing real-time solutions to challenges.
• Rescheduling appointments, coordinating maintenance, managing driver pay for non-driving duties, and handling unexpected changes.
• Working with the backhaul specialist to maximize truck utilization.
• Ensuring drivers attend safety meetings and submit required documentation.
• While office-based, this role requires flexibility, occasional travel, and after-hours availability with a company-provided laptop and cell phone.

What You Bring to the Team

We’re looking for a leader who has:

• Required:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the trucking industry with expertise in:
  • Driver management, including scheduling, performance, and compliance
  • Driver mileage tracking, home time coordination, and hours of service regulations
  • Driver pay structures and issue resolution
  • DOT regulations and ensuring compliance
• Proficiency in Windows-based computer software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt and shift priorities as needed
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Commitment to delivering high-level customer service

About the Role

This role is office-based, with occasional travel required for meetings, job fairs, and events. Working hours may include earlier or later meetings to accommodate different schedules. The salary grade for this position ranges from $59,350.20 to $83,046.80 annually. While offers will be based on experience and qualifications, the targeted pay range for this role is $62,500 - $68,000.
