Description
Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Accounting Internal Controls Team! This role will partner with cross functional business groups for internal controls audit tasks, serve as point-person for P-Card inquires and be the lead of these audit functions.
Our Team
The position reports to the Audit & Accounts Payable (A/P) Director and is part of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Organization. The role is based at the headquarters in Wichita, KS and is a hybrid schedule (2 days remote and 3 days onsite/each week).
What You Will Do
Build an understanding of FHR Internal Financial Control Framework and guidelines, as well as help determine risks
- Manage internal controls testing to identify potential gaps and opportunities
- Conduct routine audits of areas where systematic control gaps have been identified
- Partner with internal customers to manage interactions with Financial and Government authorities
- FHR liaison with Koch Travel Team for expenses related issues
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field
- Professional corporate experience in an accounting/finance, audit, or compliance position
Internal controls audit experience
- Experience working with Power BI or other visualization tools
- Demonstrated ability to partner with others to drive results
