Kochava is a leader in providing advertising solutions including last click and multi-touch attribution, MMM and incrementality, and activation capabilities for media sources like Apple Search Ads.  Kochava serves 20 of the top 25 streaming media brands, leading global QSR’s, and the leading commerce and social brands in the world.  

For premium publishers, Kochava also delivers real-time outcomes based measurement for leading premium publishers including all major CTV OEM’s, streaming leaders like NBCU and Spotify, and gaining considerable traction across RMN’s and ad-embedded providers like Uber.

We enable the visibility into and management of trillions of data points, hundreds of millions of users, and billions of dollars in lifetime value (LTV) and paid ad spend. Our suite of solutions are used as a growth stack for leading brands and publishers - empowering them to see and manage their data and unleash the power of their connected audiences.

 We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to function as a central member of Kochava's development team. The mobile user tracking and attribution market is challenging, dynamic, fun, and provides almost unlimited opportunities for personal and professional growth.

We are looking for dedicated team players who are comfortable with self-direction, and inspired by the thrill of building creative solutions to challenging problems. Several of our programmers are self-taught, a degree is not a necessity. A love of programming and ability to work in a team are.

Ideal candidates can work remotely from one of the following approved US states: California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Montana, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Washington or Wyoming.

• Be a core member of the team creating leading edge attribution and analytics tools.
• Design and implement highly-available, fault-tolerant, real time, distributed systems.
• Balance a fast paced delivery schedule while ensuring quality and resilience.
• Maintenance, care, and optimization of legacy systems.
• Research, design, develop and test ingestion pipelines.
• Profiling and tuning CPU use, memory use, and I/O operations to optimize performance.
• Document new solutions and maintain existing documentation.
• Leads projects and create mechanisms to streamline team processes and software development.

• 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one statically-typed software programming language.

• 5 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Expertise in one or more of the following languages: Golang, Java, SQL.
• Experience developing & deploying microservices in GCP and/or AWS.
• Design and utilization of strong data types.
• Knowledge of concurrency and multi-threaded code.

• Experience with software testing methodologies.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Java Virtual Machine fundamentals.
• Linux administration.
• Gitlab CI and Jenkins.
• Docker and Kubernetes.

Kochava began in 2011 when a team of mobile and gaming professionals saw the need to better understand the feedback loop of user acquisition, engagement, and LTV for mobile applications. Through the process of creating apps for customers from a wide range of industries, we were repeatedly asked if we could shed some light on what media advertising efforts were converting and the effectiveness of their mobile ad spend by partner. Realizing a solution to these questions wasn’t readily available, we started designing and building a mobile measurement platform that would become Kochava.
