Kocsis is looking for an experienced CNC Horizontal Machinist to run our PAMA speedram 2000. The PAMA is a 65 ton capacity milling machine with rotary table. The PAMA also has a right angle head attachment with X: 393", Y: 196" AND Z: 78".
As a CNC Horizontal Machinist you will be primarily machining small lot, high value-added, large precision parts for various industries. As an employee, you must demonstrate a high regard for safety at all times and will be required to work the hours necessary to support the demand.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Verify revision levels of programs on repeat jobs
- Sign off route sheets verifying conformance of parts
- Operate machine tool to manufacture parts to print specifications as needed
- Inspect machined features and document measurements on Inspection report
- Communicate with manufacturing engineer, QC and supervisor regarding blueprint inconsistencies or improvements on job travelers.
- Notifies management of incorrect process or time standards on route sheets (work instructions)
- Communicate and suggest process changes to manufacturing engineer and management.
- Follow production schedules and communicate suggestions to scheduler regarding deviations to schedules
- Notify QC and/or supervisor of non-conforming parts.
- Works safely and immediately reports any unsafe condition
- Can operate overhead crane and rig parts safely.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Experience setting up and operating horizontal machining centers.
- The ability to perform modular setups and machine large precision parts efficiently.
- The skill to handle, load, and unload parts up to 50,000 lbs.
- Reads, interprets, and understands work orders, blueprints, and work instructions.
- The ability to make tool offsets and edit programs.
- The skill to setup tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Able to bend, squat, climb, reach, push/ pull and sit for periods throughout the day.
- Exposure to noise and moving machinery.
- Temperature variations depending on the season and shop conditions.
- Wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for the conditions/ work environment.
