About the Role
Digital Lizard is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our Bindery & Finishing team. You'll oversee a 15-person team across two shifts, ensuring seamless production of high-quality print products—from business cards to anime books and direct mail pieces. This role is perfect for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, drives efficiency, and maintains top-tier quality standards.
- Lead Production & Workflow – Oversee cutting, folding, PUR binding, gluing, mail sorting, and specialty product construction to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
- Optimize Equipment Use – Manage and maintain finishing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure operators are trained.
- Drive Quality & Efficiency – Monitor performance metrics, enforce SLAs, and implement process improvements.
- Develop & Mentor Teams – Train, cross-train, and coach employees, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance – Enforce safety protocols and support EHS regulations. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in bindery/finishing operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Hands-on expertise with finishing equipment and workflow optimization
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Proven leadership skills—mentoring, training, and managing a team
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs, and work in a dynamic, loud production environment
