What You Will Be Doing:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair crane engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including inspecting and servicing cranes to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Identify and replace faulty parts, including hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, hoses, and electrical components.
- Conduct load testing and performance evaluations to verify crane functionality after repairs.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to assist in complex repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, documenting all repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
- Work in both a shop environment and field service settings as needed.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Crane Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and mechanical components related to cranes.
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to weld and fabricate components is a plus.
- Familiarity with OSHA and safety regulations related to crane operations.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites when required.
