We are looking for a skilled HVAC Estimating Specialist to join our team at KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for creating accurate and comprehensive estimates for commercial HVAC projects. Your expertise in heating estimation and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders will be invaluable to our organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Job Takeoffs and Pricing: Conduct thorough job takeoffs, generating detailed estimates and pricing for commercial HVAC projects.
- Subcontractor and Supplier Engagement: Establish strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, obtaining quotes and negotiating prices that meet project requirements.
- Estimating Software and Training: Stay current with the latest estimating software, attending training sessions as needed to maintain expertise and ensure efficient estimating processes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with contractors, designers, owners, and job-site personnel to gather information and provide expert guidance on mechanical contracting.
- Database Development and Maintenance: Contribute to the development and maintenance of the estimating database, working collaboratively with the VP of Estimating.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 10 years of commercial experience in heating estimation or completion of an approved apprenticeship program followed by 3 years' experience as a Journeyman.
- A minimum of 10 years prior estimating experience, demonstrating your ability to manage complex projects and teams.
