Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Employee & Labor Relations Specialist to serve as the voice of employees, proactively engaging with staff, resolving workplace concerns, and fostering a positive employer-employee relationship. This role requires someone who is approachable, highly visible on the floor, and skilled at handling employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion.

About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for employee complaints, assessing concerns, and referring complex issues to HR leadership. You will also respond to routine labor relations inquiries related to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee complaints, assessing concerns and referring complex issues to HR leadership.
  • Respond to routine labor relations inquiries related to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct initial interviews and gather information on employee relations matters, including workplace complaints, harassment allegations, and grievances.
  • Partner with leadership to identify and address ongoing performance challenges that impact employee engagement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EEO laws, affirmative action, collective bargaining agreements, and labor relations best practices.
  • Promote a positive work environment by being highly visible on the floor, talking to employees, and solving issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, wearing appropriate PPE when required.
  • Travel to job sites as needed to engage with employees and resolve concerns.
