We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Technician to contribute to our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in safety protocols, environmental compliance, and workplace hazard mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections of work areas, equipment, and machinery.
- E nsure compliance with all MSHA and OSHA regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate safety programs and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety training programs.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with safety audits and maintain accurate records of safety data.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Provide support for emergency response plans and participate in drills.
- Collaborate with site management to enforce safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- MSHA 48-hour certification (required).
- OSHA 30-hour certification (required).
- Proven experience in a safety role, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state safety regulations and environmental laws.
- Ability to assess hazards, perform risk assessments, and develop safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with all levels of personnel.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
