What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Project Oversight: Leading all project phases, ensuring appropriate staffing, and keeping timelines on track.
- Material Management: Negotiating material pricing, coordinating purchasing, and ensuring on-time delivery of tools and equipment.
- Budget Control: Monitoring budgets, managing costs, and achieving financial goals.
- Client Relations: Building strong relationships with clients, architects, and suppliers while serving as their primary point of contact.
- Team Leadership: Guiding field supervisors, superintendents, and foremen through pre- and post-project meetings while motivating your team.
- Compliance: Ensuring all permits, insurance, bonds, and change orders are properly documented and inspections are completed.
- Site Inspections: Regularly visiting project sites to monitor progress, address challenges, and uphold safety standards.
Who You’ll Work With
- Reports To: Vice President of Construction.
- Collaborates With: Estimators, Field Supervisors, and the Accounting Department.
What You Bring
- Education: High school diploma required; a four-year degree is preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within commercial plumbing.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and direct teams effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail for cost analysis and project tracking.
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools and office software.
