Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our team in the Syracuse area. This position offers a competitive pay range based on experience and is ideal for a professional with a strong background in pipefitting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and be skilled in installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in industrial and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and Maintain Piping Systems: Assemble, secure, and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures for various systems, including gas, water, and steam.
• Blueprint and Diagram Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layouts and dimensions.
• Cutting and Welding: Use tools such as pipe cutters, saws, and welding equipment to prepare pipes for installation.
• System Testing: Perform pressure tests to identify and repair leaks, ensuring all systems meet safety and performance standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues within piping systems, replacing or repairing components as needed.
• Material Handling: Work with various materials, including steel, stainless steel, and PVC, ensuring proper handling and installation techniques.
• Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pipefitting (industrial or commercial preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Proficient in using tools such as pipe cutters, threaders, and welding equipment.
• Strong knowledge of pipe systems, materials, and installation techniques.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures (OSHA certification is a plus).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Every weekend
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only

Experience:

• Welding: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Syracuse, NY 13204: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
