Job Responsibility: The Digital Sales Specialist will work with the sales and technical support teams from our manufacturer in Germany, as well as the joint venture, along with regional sales managers to secure business in the folding carton industry for digital printing.
Job Title: Digital Sales Specialist – VariJET 106
Compensation: $75,000.00 to $100,000.00 Annually
Standard Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Schedule varies and may include early mornings, evenings, late nights and weekend work)
Employee may be required to be away from home for extended periods of up to one week at a time, or longer, as may be required for certain trade shows
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and implementing Digital sheetfed sales and activities as well as meeting company annual targets for sales unit count
- As the sales driver, functions include working together with the sales team and independently to execute strategies and perform plans to penetrate and grow the Digital market nationally
- Must understand the business and financial models for all applications, TCO and benefits of digital printing in the folding carton industry
- Provide input and assist in the development and execution of business strategies for digital press equipment
- Achievement of assigned yearly sales goals
- Demonstrates an understanding of the key business requirements of their customers and prospects for both current and future business needs
- Must coordinate and organize factory and customer demonstrations to ensure market success
- Educate organization on product applications, market conditions, technology changes, market trends and other related requirements
- Provide accurate and timely expense reporting
- Maintain corporate image and professionalism
- Produce monthly opportunity and prospect reports, lost order reports and a market analysis
- On a yearly basis, create a business plan and the accompanying budget
- Input and maintain all customer contact information including but not limited to general contact names, existing equipment base, competitive activity and any other information required in the SalesForce.com (SFDC) database
- Routine reporting of activities and customer visit reports via Salesforce
- Attend training programs, trade shows and have active involvement in appropriate industry association meetings
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or five years in folding carton experience or extensive inkjet experience
