Position Overview
The Regional Vice President will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of commercial construction projects in the Dallas area. As the first leader of our regional office, this role offers a unique opportunity to establish our local presence, develop relationships with subcontractors and clients, and build a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Launch and lead Koester Construction’s Dallas, TX office, establishing a strong regional presence.
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop and manage relationships with local subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and clients.
- Ensure project success by managing schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain cost efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of project engineers and other field staff.
- Facilitate project meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively to keep projects on track.
- Uphold Koester Construction’s values and high standards of workmanship.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, coaching, and mentoring.
- Expert knowledge of construction means, methods, and techniques.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam).
- Proven ability to manage project budgets and control costs effectively.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and ability to collaborate with diverse project teams.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Self-starter mentality with the drive to build and grow a new regional office.
