Scheduled Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 pm – 2:30 am (Monday-Friday)
The Purpose of this Activity Center
To keep all equipment in production operating effectively
Support 1st shift production by maintaining equipment
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Qualifications and Skillsets
- Multi-task
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret general information and follow instructions
- Effectively communicate and listen to the thoughts and ideas of all team members
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and millimeters
- Ability to identify an issue, determine the root cause, and work with the team members to resolve the issue
- Ability to use a tape measure, calipers, micrometers, volt meter, amp meter, oscilloscope (optional), electronic stethoscope, etc.
- Electronic controls programming Skills: ability to set up, trouble shoot, and repair
- Mechanical Knowledge: understand machine operations and their hazards; trouble shoot symptoms, identifying the root cause of problems, and the ability to solve them
- Electrical Knowledge: understand machine controls and their hazards; trouble shoot symptoms, identifying the root cause of problems, and the ability to solve them
- Pneumatic Knowledge: understand air logic, controls, hazards and possible solutions; trouble shoot symptoms, identifying the root cause of problems, and the ability to solve them
- Hydraulic Knowledge: understand hydraulic logic, controls, hazards and possible solutions; trouble shoot symptoms, identifying the root cause of problems, and the ability to solve them
- Ability to execute established safety policies and procedures
- Quality oriented and high attention to detail
- Good attendance is vital
- Ability to climb, crawl, stoop
Activity Center Demands
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs. on a regular basis with proper lifting technique
- Summer Climate, gets up to 90 degrees in the warehouse
- Winter Climate, consistent with outdoor temperatures (snow removal)
- Moderately loud
- Moderately dusty
- Must wear safety glasses & ear protection in designated areas
- Occasional after hours and weekend work

Essential Responsibilities to this Position
- Reviewing performance indicator reports to ensure continuous improvements exist in all areas under their accountability
- Performing work on production equipment, as it relates to PM’s, repairs, improvements, and installations
- Receiving information regarding the work to performed from the maintenance information systems
- Scheduling themselves as well as their direct reports, to perform the work being requested, ensuring time, skills, knowledge, and dollars are managed wisely
- Ensuring the quality of work performed by themselves and their Direct Reports, is consistent with the Mission of this position
- Ensuring the performance evaluations of their direct reports, are completed in a manner consistent with the established policies and procedures
- Ensuring that good housekeeping practices are implemented in this activity center, resulting in an esthetically pleasing and safe environment in the following areas:
- All areas where work is being performed
- All tool boxes
- All means of transportation
- Equipment parts storage in building # 13 FDC
