Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by providing exceptional service, assisting with product selection, and driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Provide product demonstrations to educate customers on features and benefits.
• Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
• Operate the point of sales system efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
• Maintain an organized showroom and ensure shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of basic math and retail math principles for accurate transaction handling.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and inventory management systems is a plus.
• Ability to work weekends, as needed by the store schedule.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
