Position Summary:
Kohelet Yeshiva is seeking a creative, highly organized, innovative, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Kohelet is experiencing a period of growth, and the successful candidate will bring excitement, organization, and a growth mindset to the position. This is a part-time position, reporting to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage short- and long-term communications, marketing strategies, and goals.
- Support the school’s internal and external communications.
- Manage the content and design of the school’s website.
- Oversee digital communications, written publications, social media channels, and marketing materials.
- Create and execute a weekly email newsletter.
- Manage public relations efforts, including pursuing media opportunities, drafting press releases, and emergency communications.
- Manage photography and video production for special school events.
- Coordinate with third-party marketing vendors, including website developers, photographers/videographers, graphic designers, and printing firms as needed.
- Help plan and execute strategies to enhance visibility and public perception of the school.
- Create and review admissions and development communications and publications.
- Assist with emergency communications using the Ruvna operations platform.
- Manage communications using the Veracross school information system.
- Manage the online calendar accessible on the school’s website.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational, tech, and time management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or a related field; experience in a marketing/communications role, preferably in a school or nonprofit setting.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Experience building social media strategies and developing integrated content marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with website content management systems and developing email communications campaigns.
- The ability to balance multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
- Team player with a warm, collaborative nature and positive energy.
- Familiarity with the Jewish community and knowledge of Jewish customs and practices.
- Proficiency with modern office technology and working knowledge of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
