About the RoleAs Liability Analyst, you will compile facts and investigate customer injury claims to evaluate and negotiate resolution of complex non-litigated liability claims (moderate to highly severe injuries) to protect the interests of the company.What You’ll DoCorrespond with claimants, witnesses, internal partners to document event statementsInvestigate and verify customer injury statements and facts, compiles evidence, video and claim data to document according to written proceduresConduct recorded statements from claimant and as needed, witnessesEvaluate liability based on verifiable and disputed evidence to create action planEvaluate liability to set financial reservesFollow written procedures to reports claims that meet specific criteria to excess insurers and / or escalate claims internallyCommunicate with excess insurance carrier on escalated claim status and current action plansAssist panel counsel defense attorneys with claim positioning and evaluation, as appropriateDeny, settle or authorize payment directly with claimants and / or claimant attorneys to resolve complex non-litigated moderate to highly severe injuriesAdditional task may be assigned as necessaryWhat Skills You HaveRequiredMinimum 2-4 Years related claims experience and experience adjusting general liability claimsWorking knowledge of general liability insuranceProficient experience in investigations, resolution of injury complaints including negotiation and settlementMust have good presentation, written and oral communication skillsMust be able to multitask, be well organized and detail orientedProficient working with database and processing software, Excel, Word and similar systemsMust have strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and negotiating skillsPreferredBachelor's degree or equivalent experience3 years of multi-state or national experience for an Insurance carrier and / or self-insured companyKnowledge of medical terminology and proceduresProfessional designation in claims and / or insuranceExperience using RisKonnect or other RMISRetail experienceSpecial RequirementsAbility to travel infrequently
