Position Overview : As a Mortgage Loan Originator at Kohler Credit Union, you'll assist members throughout the mortgage process, from selecting the right products to guiding them through paperwork and building lasting relationships. You'll also collaborate with community partners like realtors, builders, and insurance agents to drive referrals and expand our network. Key Responsibilities :
- Partner with members and applicants to recommend the right mortgage loan products and services.
- Maintain ongoing contact with members throughout the entire mortgage process, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience from application to loan closing.
- Manage administrative duties, including precise data entry of mortgage applications, documentation collection, and timely follow-up to keep the process on track.
- Establish and nurture relationships with real estate agents, builders, and insurance agents to generate high-quality referrals and enhance business growth.
- Stay informed about new mortgage loan guidelines, market trends, and policy changes, and provide training opportunities for staff to remain compliant and competitive.
- Participate in local events such as homebuyer seminars, trade shows, and open houses to increase visibility and promote mortgage products within the community.
- Perform other duties as necessary to meet the credit union's goals, such as assisting with internal mortgage programs or sales strategies.
Qualifications :
Hours : Monday - Friday, with occasional evening or weekend events as needed to connect with members or attend educational opportunities.
