What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandiser position at Kohlfeld Distributing?
Job Requirements:
- Stock shelves, floor displays, and coolers with Kohlfeld products in back stock inventory.
- Ensure product is rotated and managed.
- Ensure displays are merchandised properly and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized back stock area.
- Transport products from back stock to display areas using hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Communicate with the manager on the stock product or other issues noticed on site.
- Seek out opportunities for new package placement, gaining displays in stores, and participating in supplier incentives.
- Coordinating with drivers and other merchandisers.
Qualifications:
- No prior work experience is required, though prior experience in the grocery/retail/beverage industry is a plus.
- Excellent communications skills needed.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects.
- Ability to lift, load, unload, and move product that weighs up to 60 lbs.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Attend and complete required meetings and training.
Starting Pay: Hourly rate negotiable based on experience
