What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time District Visual Lead position at KOHLS?
Plan and implement proper execution of all visual displays. Guide Visual Merchandisers across the district in successful execution of visual merchandise presentation strategies to deliver a consistent shopping experience.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Implement all aspects of merchandise visual presentation consistently according to corporate standards and directives
Maintain a neat, clean and organized work and storage area
Take proper care of all visual components, graphics, tools and supplies
Conduct weekly store walks with the Store Manager focused on visual priorities for the week
Attend weekly Territory Visual Manager conference calls for priorities and Corporate updates
Ensure proper installation and timing of company directives in partnership with Store Management
Oversee execution across all mannequins/forms, displays, fixtures and graphics to create a visual environment
Conduct weekly conference calls with Visual Merchandisers to ensure consistent execution across the district
Schedule bi-monthly calls with each Visual Merchandiser within district to discuss store specific questions and find solutions within company guidelines
Serve as primary district contact for all merchandise visual presentation communication books, and responsible for utilizing company tools to plan, communicate and share information with Visual Merchandisers
Attends Territory Visual Manager store visits for Home Store
- Provides Visual Merchandiser feedback to Store Managers
- Escalate Store challenges across the district to the Territory Visual Manager
- Involved in the interview process for new Visual Merchandisers within the district
- Responsible for onboarding visual talent in stores and mentoring Visual Merchandiser
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
Ability to lift 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis
Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving about the departments. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis
Adherence to Kohl's policy and procedures
Regular attendance
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting and attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
Visual Merchandise experience
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
Ability to influence change among peer group
PREFERRED
Prior retail experience
Comfortable with the use of technology consistently while performing the required tasks
