Shift: 2nd Shift (3pm - 11pm)
About the Role
Kohl’s Corporate Security Officers are responsible for the safety and security of our most important assets, our people. Our Officers are talented professionals that are the face of our Loss Prevention department in the Corporate buildings.
What You’ll Do
Provide Customer Service and Professional Security for Our Associates, Vendors, and Visitors
Create personalized connections with associates, vendors, and visitors
Be comfortable being in a visible station that interacts with associates, vendors, and visitors on a regular basis
Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Interfaces with associates of all backgrounds and titles up to and through Executive level
Ensures the Safety and Security of all Corporate Buildings and Parking Lots
Respond to and decision alarm activities for both burglar and fire systems
Document and follow-up on investigations via camera systems and other Loss Prevention related computer systems
Partner with Remote Operations Center leadership team to proactively identify and mitigate threats to Kohl’s
Ensure only authorized individuals enter our facilities by monitoring Lenel access control system
Monitor entrances, sensitive areas, and parking lots by monitoring our Genetec video management system
Communicate safety issues to facilities management and/or Loss Prevention management
Maintain knowledge of building evacuations and severe weather procedures
Respond to accidents, medical emergencies, and critical incidents
Infrequently will provide stand-by guard service to events held at the Corporate building
Infrequently will provide guard coverage for multiple Corporate locations and assets
System Operations
Proficient with Lenel (access control) & Genetec (video)
Support the Remote Operations Center on critical incident video review that includes complex theft events and sensitive HR/AR/Legal issues
Respond to system generated issues (turnstile alarms, building access) remotely or onsite
Navigate Corporate Security workflow as assigned by Lead Corporate Security Officer
Maintain knowledge of alarm zones throughout facilities

Proficient in using Google Suite products
Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize and execute competing demands
Able to use a vehicle battery jump start unit
High School Diploma
Valid Driver’s License
Preferred
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to stand/or walk for long periods of time
