Job Description
This position will be working directly in a therapeutic setting with individuals aged 8-21 who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
Constant engagement with and supervision of the individuals will be required for staff, including programs tailored to each individual's needs based on their Individualized Plan (IP).
We will implement Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), a highly scheduled and intensive therapeutic approach designed to teach expected behavior and life skills.
Responsibilities
- Engage with and supervise individuals in a therapeutic setting
- Develop and implement individualized programs based on IP
- Implement ABA principles and techniques
Requirements
Education and Qualifications
- A minimum age of 18 years
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
Licensures and Certifications
- The ability to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certifications
- A valid Ohio Driver's License issued by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles
- Proof of auto insurance
Experience
- At least one year of experience working with intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals
- Prior experience implementing ABA is preferred
