What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Technician position at Koinonia?

We are hiring a full-time Mental Health Technician to support youth 9-18 who exhibit behavioral and emotional difficulties associated with a variety of mental health diagnoses.
The Mental Health Technician opportunity includes:
- A great chance to support kids who have experienced trauma
- Hourly pay rate: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience

- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, HDFS or a closely related field required

You will provide behavioral management and case work services to youth in the after-school day treatment setting. With the support of caring and qualified clinicians, you will:
- Provide a full range of interventions including behavioral management, interpersonal effectiveness skills, interventions with schools and parents, family support and training, community transition, and self-management
- Plan and co-lead psycho-educational groups
- Maintain case files for each assigned youth
- The opportunities to connect with youth continue as you transport them to and from the afternoon day treatment program daily. A reliable vehicle, auto insurance, good driving record and a big heart is required
