As an Equipment Parts Salesperson, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Solicit parts business from assigned accounts through in-person, telephone, and other electronic methods of communication
· Manage customer relationships with assigned accounts with a focus on profitable customer sales growth across all departments in the dealership
· Phone conversations for all assigned customers a minimum of twice per month
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with all assigned accounts
· Immediately notify operation’s manager of any conflicts or issues related affecting the ability to do this
· Target 10% year over year part sales growth with all assigned accounts
· Develop detailed business/sales plans to accomplish this goal
· Serve as a default product and systems trainer for customers
· Coordinate with the appropriate vendor, supplier, manufacturer, or dealership employees to assist or handle these tasks as necessary
· Actively pursue all-make parts sales opportunities with all assigned accounts
· Prepare for and attends required sales meetings on Friday mornings
· Prospect for new business with existing and new customers
· Independently research and investigate existing, new, and/or related product information to serve as product manner expert for customers and peers
· Create and distribute sales-oriented marketing materials and product quotes
· Attend Shows and conferences
· Communicate order and delivery status with customers
· Coordinate with Parts Manager to maintain sufficient inventory levels to meet customer
· Notify Parts Manager and/or Director of Parts Operations of all customer service-related issues
· Gather competitive pricing intelligence for parts manager and director of parts operations
· Check with customers to ensure that delivery date of non-stock items is acceptable before ordering
· Review any special orders with the parts manager and obtain his/her approval
· Obtain parts manager's approval for any special pricing
· Work with Parts Manager to ensure a pricing strategy is in place for each customer to maximize dealer profitability
· Advise counterperson and/or warehouse staff on delivery instructions
· Follow up on parts orders to ensure that customers have been served properly
· Coordinate service sales with service sales, counter, and/or management staff
· Assist in the advancement/prioritization of assigned customers vehicles through the service department
· Act as a public relations liaison for the company
· Actively promote all departments of the dealership to our customers (Service and Parts department)
· Work with appropriate personnel in each department to pass along leads or research customer issues
· Maintain confidentiality of internal issues
· Turn in completed call reports
· Attend training seminars and/or completes online classes as requested by the Parts Manager including Self-Study Training, and Vendor/Supplier Training, and any other industry relevant training that is assigned
· Actively manage and maintain any assigned customer consignment inventory as per the company consignment inventory agreement - including rotating inventory, updating inventory, regular physical inventory counts, and consignment inventory rationalization
· Maintain professional appearance
· Update customer records to reflect changes to customers' names, addresses, etc.
· Add new customers to appropriate mailing lists

- This position is hourly plus commission after 90 days
