Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team in Sanford, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The role requires a high level of technical expertise, patient care, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging and Doppler studies following established protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Analyze sonographic findings and provide preliminary reports to physicians.
- Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and performance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and quality patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program and ARDMS registry eligible (must obtain registry within 9 months of hire)
OR
- ARRT registry with an ultrasound credential
- American Heart Association BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
