Lube Technician

Job Description:

We are looking for a Lube Technician based out of our Annapolis Junction, MD shop to perform maintenance to our fleet of equipment throughout the Maryland/DC/Northern VA region.

SUMMARY

Performs basic preventive maintenance and lubrication to heavy equipment, cranes, trucks, and other pieces of construction equipment.

• Must have CDL license and good driving record

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs routine oil and fluid changes and preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Grease and lubricate equipment and vehicles as required.
• Determines necessary parts, materials, and tools required for assigned tasks.
• Performs minor repairs to equipment such as changing fuses, light bulbs.
• Reviews and comprehends the PM intervals and schedules.
• Completes required documentation, both hard copy and/or online, of services performed, materials/supplies used, and work order closure.
• Perform all PM services per maintenance manual in a safe and timely manner
• Obtain all required fluid/oil samples and submit all fluid/oil samples to the Lab electronically
• Record all PM services on the daily timecard
• Communicate any equipment maintenance issues to your supervisor in a timely manner
• Maintain the company lube truck and operate it in a safe manner
• Safety First – Must be responsible for your own safety and follow all company guidelines and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be self-motivated
• Must come to work on time and ready to work daily
• Able to climb in, on and around equipment, be flexible in awkward positions
• Possess the ability to read and understand equipment maintenance manuals
• Must be responsible, reliable and willing to work in all weather conditions
• Need to have excellent communication skills, good work ethics and a positive attitude
• Must be able to work any shift and weekends as equipment is available for service
• Technical experience preferred, training available
• Mechanical knowledge of equipment a plus
• Basic computer knowledge

Expected hourly base range for this position is: $25/hr - $32/hr

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
