Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Administrative Assistant to support our team with a variety of office tasks, while also performing janitorial duties to maintain a clean and orderly office environment. This role requires someone who is organized, proactive, and willing to take on both administrative and cleaning responsibilities as needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards both office administration and facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Assistant Duties:
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage general office correspondence.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and maintain calendars for team members.
- Organize and maintain office files and records.
- Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
- Handle office supplies inventory, order and restock as necessary.
- Perform data entry and assist with general office administration tasks.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for staff when required.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Janitorial Duties (As Needed):
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming office spaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure they are kept in a hygienic state.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage and supply areas.
- Ensure that office equipment and furniture are kept clean and tidy.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment by following cleaning protocols and safety standards.
- Fill in for janitorial staff when they are absent or unavailable.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in administrative assistance or office management is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and janitorial tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to lift and move cleaning supplies or office equipment as needed.
- Flexible and willing to take on diverse responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform janitorial tasks in a safe and effective manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
