Mainframe Developer - Full Time
Key Technology: COBOL, JCL, DB2, and working with IBM Mainframe ZOS toolsets.
What You Will Do:
- Design, create, and maintain mainframe computer systems and software applications.
- Ensure optimal system performance.
- Review designs and or codes for testing, and debugging of mainframe software applications
- Modify mainframe applications using programming languages like COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS. Perform performance tuning of mainframe systems and applications and conducts support activities with remote team members.
- Problem solve, code, test, and deploy application fixes in a fast-paced SLA driven environment.
- Code and test high priority and critical changes utilizing COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
- Meet with project managers to provide daily or weekly project statuses.
Required Skills:
Required:
- Ten years of software development engineering experience.
- Working knowledge in an IBM Mainframe environment proficient with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and working with IBM Mainframe ZOS toolsets.
- Strong knowledge of the following: DB2, IDCAMS, SyncSort; File-Master; File Transmission (FTP/NDM)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in technical design writing and documentation.
- Proficient with usage of MS office Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint
- Able to be on call rotation once every 5 weeks.

- Experience with: REXX; Endeavor; Clarity; Jira
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
