Position Summary: The Associate Chemist (Powders) will focus on developing, formulating, and refining powder-based personal care products. This position requires a strong technical understanding of powder formulation, hands-on laboratory work, and the ability to apply scientific knowledge to solve formulation challenges. The ideal candidate will work on a variety of powder formulations, ensuring that products meet both quality and regulatory standards while driving innovation in product development.

· Basic understanding of powder formulations and cosmetic science, with a focus on texture, performance, and stability.
· Strong communication skills for oral, written, and presentation purposes.
· Experience in formulation development, analytical testing, and troubleshooting powder-based products.
· Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including powder characterization, stability testing, and process development.
· Basic knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and refine powder formulations, including setting specifications and optimizing for performance, texture, stability, and cost-efficiency.
· Conduct stability and compatibility testing of powder formulations. Investigate and resolve any issues related to stability and performance.
· Perform physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations to ensure the product meets design criteria and consumer expectations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Analytical, Manufacturing, and Regulatory to ensure products are developed according to customer requirements and regulatory standards.
· Maintain comprehensive documentation of formulations, test results, and observations in lab notebooks and reports.
· Stay updated on industry trends, raw material innovations, and scientific advancements to inform and drive product development.
· Provide technical support during product scale-up and transfer to manufacturing, ensuring smooth transitions and successful outcomes.
· Manage multiple projects, balancing priorities and deadlines effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

· 1-3 years of experience in powder formulation development or a similar field, preferably in cosmetics or personal care.
· Knowledge and hands-on experience with powder characterization techniques and stability testing.
· Familiarity with regulatory requirements in cosmetic manufacturing and product safety.
· Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
