Position Summary: As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible of ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of our production and packaging machinery. This position involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks to support the seamless functioning of our equipment, thereby optimizing production output and product quality.
Do YOU Possess These Skills and Attributes? To excel as Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you should have:
· Proven experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
· Strong background in electrical maintenance and repair.
· Proficiency with various repair and testing tools and equipment.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
· Ability to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs.
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with a demonstrated history of working with advanced manufacturing systems and equipment.
Work Environment:
- This position requires working in a production facility environment, with exposure to machinery, moving parts, and varying temperatures.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure timely and efficient production and packaging operations by maintaining and troubleshooting machinery.
· Collaborate with the production team to minimize disruptions and enhance overall operational efficiency.
· Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing machinery.
· Perform PLC programming, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure machinery operates effectively.
· Use appropriate tools and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
· Adhere to all Kolmar USA corporate policies, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
· Report any damages, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
· Gather and act on feedback from the production department to improve machinery performance and reliability.
· Coordinate maintenance activities with the production schedule to minimize downtime and impact on output.
· Maintain adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
· Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status accurately and comprehensively.
· Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Requirements:
· High School diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
· Relevant vocational training or certification in mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred.
· A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
