Position Summary: The Pre-Weigh Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient preparation of raw materials for production. This position requires a strong focus on adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules.
Do YOU Possess These Skills and Attributes? To excel as Pre-Weigh Technician, you should have:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and recording data.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in pre-weigh or materials handling.
- Ability to follow written instructions (SOPs) and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Understanding of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to safety standards at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure and weigh raw materials according to batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all materials used, including lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates.
- Monitor and report inventory levels of raw materials to ensure availability and prevent shortages.
- Perform visual inspections of materials for consistency and quality; report any deviations or issues to supervisors.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment; participate in safety training sessions as required.
- Work closely with production team members to coordinate material availability and ensure timely completion of pre-weigh activities.
- Clean and maintain pre-weigh equipment and work area to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and prevent contamination.
- Ensure proper closure of raw material containers to prevent cross-contamination.
- Document and maintain tank logs, batch retains, and micro-sampling records.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and willingness to work mandatory overtime.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in chemical handling or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in pre-weigh or materials handling.
