What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Tech II position at KOLPAK LLC?
Essential Job Functions:
- Audits/inspects raw material, component parts, sub-assemblies, and finished goods to ensure conformance to specifications
- Adapt, and/or calibrate equipment (including but not limited to tape measures, micrometers, and calipers) to established guidelines, typically under the guidance of an outside vendor
- Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams, and confers with management/engineering staff to communicate issues and concerns about material and product quality
- Complete and maintain all associated electronic processes and paperwork (including but not limited to bar-coding, checklists, stamping, blueprints, shipping/receiving documents, accessory lists, and scanning of materials)
- Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
- Perform duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Manitowoc Code of Conduct requirements
- Actively participate in safety training and demonstrate competency by effectively resolving safety issues or bringing them to the attention of management
Job Requirements/Working Conditions:
- 3-5 years experience required
- High School Diploma required
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints
- Advanced math and reading comprehension skills
- Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English language
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to demonstrate safe and effective utilization of all required equipment
- Stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of work day
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs alone and over 50 lbs with assistance
- Ability to climb and balance
- Ability to use hands to reach and to handle or feel
- Manual dexterity in hands for tool usage
- Ability to visually inspect product
- Work in non-temperature controlled environments
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
