What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Scientist/Geologist position at KOMAN Holdings, LLC?
KOMAN Government Solutions has an immediate need for a seasoned Project Geologist/Scientist to support our operations. Assignments will typically be related to one or more of the following: project plan preparation and permitting; site investigation, environmental monitoring and multimedia sampling; remedial action implementation; and maintenance activities.

Project Planning and Execution
- Lead and support project plan preparation.
- Identify and prepare permit applications.
- Assist with identifying and procuring the necessary equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Lead, coordinate, and/or support field investigations/sampling events.
- Collect environmental samples and field measurements.
- Ensure project plans and associated safety and quality control requirements are implemented.
- Oversee subcontractors.
- Maintain field forms and other documentation.
- Summarize data and assist with technical report preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in engineering, geology, or related science.
- 2-8 years of relevant work experience.
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
- Current OSHA 40-hour training for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) or ability to obtain before commencing employment.
- Ability and willingness to undertake frequent overnight travel to project sites (estimated 50% on average).
- Ability to work overtime when required.
