What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduler/Planner position at Komar Alliance LLC?
Job Summary:
Responsible for scheduling inventory requirements balancing customer service and facility productivity in the development of a production schedule for the entire manufacturing plant.
Essential Functions:
Perform all scheduling functions ensuring timely and efficient production of inventory.
Prepare detailed production specification sheets according to customer orders.
3. Determine raw materials and components required to produce finished goods working closely with Purchasing Department to ensure on time availability.
Create production schedules that maximize efficiencies, minimize waste and prevent overstock.
5. Monitor progress of production schedules promptly reporting any delays to customer service and management.
Schedule production according to capacity making adjustments when necessary due to equipment breakdowns or to compensate for delayed material deliveries.
Analyze reports and determine appropriate inventory stocking levels for timely customer fulfillment.
Accurately receive completed production orders into P21 daily.
9. Develop weekly production status reports for manager and generate production reports for critical decision-making purposes.
Address production issues in a timely fashion and promptly resolve any discrepancies that are detected on completed production reports.
Work closely with the Plant Manager, Product Manager, Purchasing, and Customer Service to achieve objectives and resolve issues.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret spreadsheets and documents
- Able to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of general computer applications (Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word).
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to problem solve with enthusiasm
- Must have good phone skills and interact well with others, possess the ability to speak effectively
- Manufacturing/distribution/warehousing experience a plus
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, typing, phone skills, and some knowledge of computers or 3 -5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Able to develop a friendly and professional relationship with co-workers to help maintain a strong work flow environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
