How you will help us create value together :
As a Business Intelligence (BI) Intern , you will be responsible for a range of support activities for the Surface Factory Analytics team. The Surface Factory Analytics team develops applications and produces data visualizations for both external and internal customers. Activities will include designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, interactive dashboards and reports that identify trends, patterns, and insights from data to support strategic decision-making.
This in-office position will be based at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee's Harbor District. The target start date for this role is Summer 2025 and has the potential to be extended into the Fall 2025 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.
This internship position is not eligiblefor remote work during the Summer. Financial relocation assistance to the Milwaukee-area is not available.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data needs, process optimization and improvement
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, interactive dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
- Contribute to data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment processes to ensure data accuracy and quality
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand the information needs of different departments
- Help identify trends, patterns, and insights from data to support strategic decision-making
- Learn and utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Plotly) to present data in meaningful ways
- Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests from different business units
- Assist in the documentation of BI processes and methodologies
