Job Overview
Komatsu Company Stores East is pleased to offer multiple Internship, Diesel Technician opportunities at each one of our locations in Baltimore, MD, and Holbrook, NY.
These opportunities will provide the Intern, Diesel Technician the opportunity to work along-side a skilled Diesel Technician and learn the fundamentals of Shop Safety, Hydraulics, Electrical, Undercarriages, Powertrains, Engines, etc.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe shop working practices;
- Perform basic diagnosis procedures on equipment utilizing current test equipment;
- Prepare and follow specific repair orders;
- Employ service manuals and instructions in prescribing corrective repairs;
- Perform basic maintenance and repair on equipment;
- Follow work directives;
- Collaborate with other employees;
- Report to work on time and on a regular basis and record a minimum of 240 total hours; andfollow employer policies and procedures;
- Presentation of Capstone Project
