Project Examples include:
- Learn about and put into practice Lean projects and processes.
- Implement supply planning process improvements.
- Assist in tracking global inventory and research ways to forecast accurately.
- Communicate effectively with customers and teammates (phone, in-person, e-mail).
- Analyze workflow, create & analyze reports, suggest ways to streamline the process.
- Prepare reports detailing lot sizes, tracking and promise dates.
- Assist in implementing improvements and Analyze various types of data/ recommend cost saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: Must be at least in Sophomore standing at an accredited college/university. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.70 and be able to apply their academic background to real business world experiences.
- Experience: Prior experience with work study programs, school or volunteer leadership roles, participated on teams or in clubs, professional organizations, etc. preferred.
- Soft Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communications. Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and easily adapt to new challenges and business working environment. Strong motivation to make contributions to Komatsu and strong motivation to drive results.
- PC Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Excel, Power Point and other summary and analysis tools. Must demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Travel: Some travel may be required to other local Komatsu locations.
