The Data Engineer will be experienced in using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric tools, including Data Pipelines, Azure Data Lake Storage, OneLake, Data Warehouses, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and visualization for business intelligence needs.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources
Implement data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake, OneLake, and Data Warehouses to optimize performance and accessibility
Develop and maintain semantic data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security
Build and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business intelligence needs
Work closely with stakeholders to design and implement user-friendly reporting solutions
Implement row-level security (RLS) and other governance measures in Power BI
Monitor and manage Fabric Capacity Metrics to optimize data infrastructure performance
Leverage Microsoft Purview for data governance and metadata management
Maintain data quality and integrity, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards
Work with business analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to translate business needs into data solutions
Provide training and best practices to end-users for leveraging Power BI and self-service analytics
Continuously improve data processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency
Qualifications :
- 3 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Fabric tools (Data Pipelines, OneLake, Data Warehouses, Azure Data Lake, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and Power BI Service
- Expertise in SQL and data modeling, with experience designing efficient and scalable data structures
- Ability to develop and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation
- Experience working with stakeholders to define reporting and analytics requirements
- Microsoft DP-600 or DP-700 certification (Fabric Analytics Engineer or Data Analyst)
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
