Sales Engineers lead strategic initiatives by exploring new markets, building relationships, devising creative sales strategies, and staying abreast of market competition.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pursue all new leads and sales proposals
- Engage in proactive prospecting efforts to generate new customers
- Understand customer technology selection processes to strategically position our products and services
- Coordinate application equipment sizing and proposal process
- Develop key account strategies for competitive positioning and order intake maximization
- Facilitate cross-functional team information transfer for new orders
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing for post-sale customer relationship management
- Collaborate with manufacturer representatives and municipal engineers for customized wastewater treatment solutions
- Build and maintain relationships with municipal decision-makers, consulting engineers, and contractor representatives
- Provide technical support throughout project lifecycles
- Lead technical presentations and product demonstrations for stakeholders and water treatment facilities
- Create presentations showcasing our products and services at trade shows
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of discipline and experience
- 5 years of capital equipment sales experience
- Demonstrated track record of revenue growth or new market development
- Experience in pre-contract, lab testing, application engineering, and post-sale cycle
- Breadth and depth of industrial scope for business expansion
- Customer relationship development and account management capabilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel 75%-100% (domestic and international)
