KOMO Machine, Inc. is a subsidiary of the well-known multi-national corporation PMC Global Inc., Sun Valley, CA. KOMO designs and manufactures high quality precision computer numerically controlled (CNC) routers and machining centers. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team. As a member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components. Your expertise will contribute to the development of innovative solutions and the successful execution of engineering projects.
Duties:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software
- Create and maintain technical drawings, including drafts and GD&T specifications, to communicate design intent
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations
- Participate in the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes or final products
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and propose effective solutions
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical design, analysis, and optimization
- Proficiency in CAD software. Autodesk Inventor is preferred
- Strong drafting skills with knowledge of GD&T principles
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a deep understanding of mechanical systems and components
-Experience designing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
-Sheetmetal and weldment design experience
-Experience selecting fasteners, mechanical drive system components, and specifying coatings or heat treatments
-Experience producing exploded view assembly documentation
