Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of laundry services within our facility, ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered to the highest standards. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our guests and maintaining the overall appearance of our establishment.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder hotel linens, towels, and guest garments.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as required, ensuring garments are treated with care.
- Inspect all items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and workspaces.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking laundry supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and quality service.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques for various fabrics, including dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds).
