We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within our facility, ensuring that all laundry items are properly cleaned, pressed, and presented. This position is essential for providing high-quality service in a hotel or similar environment, where guest satisfaction is paramount.
Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and pressing machines to clean and finish linens and garments.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold various types of fabrics according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring garments are treated with care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspect items for damage or stains prior to laundering and report any issues to management.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests from hotel staff or guests regarding laundry services.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry attendant role or similar position is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
