Laundry Helper, Part Time
Rate of Pay: $18.20/hour
Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii... King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has an opening for a talented Part Time Laundry Helper to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.
Brief Summary of Job: Performs general laundry work.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
____ Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing
personalized service to hotel guests.
____ Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
____ Operates pressers, hand iron, mangle tumbler and dryer.
____ Sorts and folds laundered items.
____ Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or
discard.
____ Fold cleaned articles into designated size by hand.
____ Maintain and operate all laundry equipment in accordance with established procedures.
____ Ensure a clean and tidy laundry room at all times.
____ Inform management of malfunctioning equipment.
____ Report any missing/found articles or damage to management.
____ Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best
overall performance of the department and hotel.
____ Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Requirements Knowledge/Education/Experience: Previous one (1) year experience preferred. High school or equivalent education.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: Basic cleaning skills. Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and fellow team members to their understanding desirable. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
