Overview
We are seeking an EKG Technician to join our healthcare team at a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and possess knowledge in lab procedures and aseptic techniques.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) to monitor and record electrical impulses transmitted by the heart
- Assist in stress tests, Holter monitoring, and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Utilize sonography equipment to aid in the visualization of the heart's structure
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
Requirements
- Proficiency in medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization, radiology, and vital signs monitoring
- Ability to apply aseptic techniques during procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data
