RIGHT OFF THE BAT STUFF

• MUST HAVE PERSONAL AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION (i.e., your own vehicle)

WHO & WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bubbly, dependable, HONEST, has INITIATIVE, reliable, outgoing and self-motivated; a "clean-freak" by nature
• Prior customer service experience
• Excellent safe driving habits and punctuality *Communication skills and confidence in speaking with customers, school leadership and event coordinators
• Ability to work unsupervised and in hot conditions; able to make decisions on the fly with sound judgement
• (Not essential; preferred) Possess a Department of Public Safety (DPS) Fingerprint Card
• (Not essential; preferred) Possess Food Handlers Certificate or ability to obtain within a week of employment
• (Not essential, preferred) Towing experience and/or personal vehicle with tow package
• Consent to a background check

WHAT'S IT LIKE AT KONA ICE

• Report to warehouse, check out truck, inspect your on-board inventory (ice, cups, etc.), drive to assigned event(s), serve shaved ice and make tons of people happy, drive back and clean/restock.
• Events are predominantly in the Tempe-Mesa and Central Phoenix areas. Starting at $17/hr tips (event dependent). Includes $1 auto raise given after first 8-12 weeks, from $16/hr to $17/hr.
• Team members work shifts at various days/times. Wed-Sat are our primary days of the week. We operate much less frequently on Sun/Mon/Tues.
• Shifts can be as short as 3-4 hours and sometimes as long as 6-8 hours. Most team members log 10-20 hours/ week, though we are solely events-based and schedules are dictated by our customers. Schedules can be flexible, but most events occur during the mid morning to late afternoon w/ occasional evening events depending on the season. We’re a tight-knit team looking for serious, trustworthy, and strong additions!
