Kona Pacific is a public charter school located on the beautiful west coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Our school, which opened in 2008, has an enrollment of 215 students in Pre-K, kindergarten, and grades 1-8. Our public Waldorf curriculum currently includes Art, Movement, and Gardening. Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and creating a supportive learning environment.
Duties
- Assist in the education and development of individuals with special needs
- Implement educational programs tailored to each individual's needs
- Support classroom and behavior management strategies
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Collaborate with educators to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Skills
- Experience or knowledge in Special education, or Early childhood education
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in classroom management and behavior management techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with a diverse team
- Passion for educating and supporting individuals with special needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year
