Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Locksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of lock mechanisms and security systems, with the ability to provide high-quality service to our clients. As a Locksmith, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of locks and security devices, ensuring the safety and security of residential and commercial properties.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace locks on doors, windows, safes, and other security devices.
- Respond to emergency lockout situations promptly and efficiently.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to diagnose lock issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Conduct security assessments for clients to recommend appropriate locking systems.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions about lock systems.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in locksmithing technology and techniques.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary for investigations related to theft or break-ins.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Locksmith or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various locking mechanisms and security systems.
- Proficiency in using locksmithing tools, including an ohmmeter for testing electrical locks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on job responsibilities.
- Willingness to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.
